Intrigued by the hitherto unseen armour worn by the westerners present on Nippon in the last decades, Odari Nobuhide spent a sizeable portion of his wealth to acquire one through Marienburg merchants. Realizing that he would stand out in his outlandish attire, he sought out various Yamabushi priests so they could beseech the kami to bless the armour and deflect harmful blows.
