Sisters of Avelorn

From the ten kingdoms of Ulthuan, the High Elves march to war. They have stood guard over this world for millennia, defending it from the predations of Daemons, the worshippers of unholy gods and the unthinking meddling of lesser races. The High Elves are the most skilled warriors in the known world. Every Elf in the force is blessed with dexterity and agility enough to strike a charging knight from his saddle before his lance can hit home. The mainstay of the High Elf army are the citizen warriors who form the Archer and Spear regiments, in turn these are bolstered by elite fighters such as the legendary Sword Masters and the proud Dragon Princes of Caledor.  There are few sights more glorious than an army of High Elves. Serried ranks of white-garbed soldiers take to the field alongside proud knights, mighty mages and ancient creatures of legend. The High Elves are an elite force who, warrior-for-warrior, can overmatch almost any other race in the Warhammer world. Over the long millennia of their existence, they have mastered every style of fighting – whether you seek phalanxes of spears, unstoppable cavalrymen, dead-eyed archers or peerless charioteers, you will find them here.

High Elves

Bow. All shots with this weapon are resolved at Strength 4 with the Armour Piercing (1), Flaming Attacks and Magical Attacks special rules. These are non-physical attacks. 

Bow of Avelorn

All models in a unit should as much as possible be armed with the same weapon and armour type for ease of distinguishing their armament. Some variation is acceptable, but it should be clear to the opponent what sort of equipment a unit has. In case it might not be apparent at first glance, this should be clearly declared upon deploying the unit. If a model has more than one weapon, they must choose which weapon they want to use at the start of the shooting phase or close combat. A model cannot choose to use two different weapons in the same shooting phase or close combat unless clearly specified. However, if the model has multiple crew or riders (like chariots or ridden monsters), each crew or rider may use one weapon each as normal. Whichever weapon they select must then be used for the entire close combat, unless the weapon they are using is somehow destroyed – it's no easy thing to change to a different weapon partway through a fight.
