As much a work of art as it is a weapon, the katana is perhaps the most revered weapon in Nippon. It has an elegant, slightly curved blade between three and four feet long, made of steel that is specially folded during its creation. This unique forging style ensures that the inner part of the blade remains springy and soft while the outside is as hard as tempered steel. Each sword likely has a history and legacy, and it is a constant reminder of the weight that destiny has placed upon its bearer’s shoulders as a Samurai of Nippon.

A Katana counts as a hand weapon. The wielder may choose to use it as a two-handed weapon which Requires Two Hands. If they choose to do so, they gain +1 Strength, though this extra Strength does not inflict any additional penalties on armour saves.
