Albion

The mysterious, mist-bound isle of Albion is a dangerous place. On the one hand it is a land of endless opportunity, the battle-hungry eager to carve a niche for themselves into its hallowed ground. On the other it is a bleak expanse of moorland full of pitfalls for the unwary. The armies of Albion is filled with barbarian warriors and mystical creatures. The core of any Albion army comprises nobles in chariots and warbands of warriors on foot, screened by youths armed with slings and javelins led by the local chieftain. Poorer nobles and richer warriors are mounted on hardy native ponies and form the cavalry used to both scout and to support the noble chariot warriors. Ranks of spearmen and woad-painted heroes, droves of scythe-bladed chariots and enormous Mastodons bred for war emerge from village and dun to follow the Sun Banner of the old High King.

The Heartwood Staff gives Dural Durak +1 to cast, and +2 to cast if he is within 6" of a wood.

Druid or Truthsayer only. The wearer of the Triskele gains the Ward Save (5+) and Magic Resistance (2) special rules. The Triskele is not a unique magic item, and one may be worn by each Druid or Truthsayer.

The Lore of Life unleashes the power of the natural world. It is primarily a defensive lore, with an array of spells that heal your troops and augment their resilience.

The Lore of Beasts is dominated by augmentative spells that grant your models extra capabilities. It's best chosen if your army intends to win its battles in close combat, as a few timely spells from the Lore of Beasts can transform mediocre troops into fearsome battle winners.

The Lore of Light can broadly be described as protective magic, granting defensive bonuses to your troops. It also contains a few 'exorcism' spells that can banish Undead and Daemonic creatures.

Infantry

Ranks A unit of Infantry is required to be five or more models wide in order to be able to gain rank bonus. Unit Strength Infantry have a Unit Strength of 1. Line of Sight Infantry have a Line of Sight value of 1. Base Size  Infantry have an approved base size of 20x20mm, 25x25mm, 25x50mm, 30x30mm and 40x40mm.

Special Character

The Warhammer Army books each include the rules for several Special Characters within their pages. They are famous, named war leaders and mighty mages, tales of whose legendary (or nefarious) deeds have travelled far and wide, such as the Emperor Karl Franz, Grom the Paunch of Misty Mountain, the infamous Vampire Lord Vlad von Carstein and many more besides. Special Characters are exceptional individuals but, more importantly for our army selection purposes, they are unique – each can be included in an army only once.
